This is one of only three Super Cobra Jet “Drag Pak” Mach 1’s in our inventory and we will probably restore this car all the way for our own collection. Talk about all the power anyone could want? With its 4 speed close ration manual transmission, and optional 3.91 deep axle ratio and traction lock differential, plus its 4 bbl 428 Super Cobra Jet engine, this Shaker Hood Mach 1 will torch the pavement when properly restored. This Mach would be worth at least $40,000 to $50,000 when finished. It originally came with Dar Red Clarion Knit/Vinyl High Back Bucket Seats, Sport Deck Rear Seat, Power Front Disk Brakes, Power Steering, and AM Radio. The original color was Wimbledon White with a Blackout Hood treatment, and White Clarion Knit /Corinthian High Back Seats and interior. The original 428 engine and 4 speed toploader transmission are missing but we have both available on request. Now here is the bad news. Some idiot replaced the passenger quarter with a 70 quarter and of course the quarter scoop is missing, so either someone has to do the quarter again or cut the quarter scoop into the 70 quarter. The hood shown although incorrect for this Mach 1 is in decent shape, as is the deck lid, and doors. We also have a set of fenders to complete the package. Plan on the normal interior redo, engine and transmission rebuild, etc. Seats will be needed but are available. Will also need a Rim Blow steering wheel to complete the restoration to original. |
